AR.00027 Traditional Quilt Makers in New Mexico Survey

Star Quilt by Unknown Navajo Quilter. AR.00027: Traditional Quilt Makers in New Mexico Survey Project. FIELD NOTES: Star quilt by Navajo woman. Virginia Anderson bought this quilt from a young (around 25) woman who brought it into the shop. Martha Denney says "they ain't enough quilting on that to hold it together." Purchased about 3 years ago [as of 1985]. Va. noted that there are teepee motifs incorporated in the star piecing that are related to peyote imagery.
